The second girl from the right in the above photo is Kaylee. This photo was taken when a group of riders from Jenny's farm came to pick Daisy and I up at our house for a ride last spring.
Please, ladies and gentlemen, strap one on. Your brain is worth it. Your life is worth it. These things happen. Life happens, no matter how great a rider you are.
My thoughts and prayers are with all affected by Kaylee's passing.
Wordless Wednesday will resume next week.

I'm so sorry to hear it. How tragic - my heart goes out to her family. I agree with you about helmets - I took some nasty falls last summer and I can tell you- my helmet saved me at least once. Literally.
Oh wow. I'm sure this hits close to home. I'm sorry.
How tragic! My thoughts are with Kaylee's friends and family. It's tough, but I know they'll get through it.
yes, very tragic. So sorry for your loss and your pain. Hugs to you and to Kaylee's family.
My thoughts and prayers are with this girls family, what a horrible incident, they will never have her daughter coming home. As a parent, this is the worst imagination ever. Yes, a helmet can safe your life.
I am so sorry for this tragic loss. Our prayers are with all those grieving Kaylee's passing, and that include you.
Things like this just happen so fast. I agree, helmets are definitely an essential part of riding any horse, ever. My heart goes out to her family.
