Miss Daisy's Braids 2

Ok, I know I keep saying that I will post and I never do, but here is a post. These pictures are of Daisy's mane after we took the braids out.....funny, all that work braiding just to take them out again. It was really frizzy! There is a breed of horse called Friesians that have curly hair like this a lot, and she reminded me of one. She was really cute with it like that. Anyway, I have to go. I will be starting school again on the 7th, so I won't post as much. I will try to find time, though!

Miss Daisy's Braids

So, this is how it went after the bath. I know, these posts are a little out of order, and late, but oh well. First we bathed her, then we took her to the top of the field to let her graze. Anika worked diligently on her mane, and I did a little braid on her tail. I admit, I was lazy, so thanks Anika for working so hard! I did a couple braids, 5 or so, but... Anyway, after that we let her go in her paddock and gave her hay to eat while she finished drying. You see me hugging her? That was before we put daisy's in Daisy's mane. I put them in as a decoration :-). Anyway, I will show you later what her mane looked like when we took the braids out. Very frizzy. Stay tuned! (and leave comments!)

Nights in the Barn

These are pictures from both my cousin and my mom, of us sleeping in the barn. For two nights last week we slept on the hay bales, and saw all the things Daisy did. It was an experience. We talked an played cards, and the whole time, even when we turned out the lights and were talking, Daisy was standing there listening. At about 4 am I woke up and turned on the flashlight and saw Daisy lying in the shavings, asleep. I'm sorry it looks so dirty! She did it! :-) Anyway, I woke up Anika, and she took that last picture with her camera. She took a couple pictures, and then I said Daisy's name and she got up and came over. It was really cute to see. I hope I will sleep in the barn again one day! Anyway, I will post later. Bye!!!!!!!

Birthday Girl!!!!!!!!

Today is Daisy's birthday. She was born August 19, 1998. Today my little girl turned 9 years old. I didn't do much for her, at least, not yet. I made her a big salad with apples and carrots and bananas, and she loved it. I have never given her bananas before, and I just wanted to test if she liked them. She didn't :-). Anyway, I just wanted to mention her birthday. The picture of her is just another one that Anika took. I really like it. I just think she looks silly in it.

Daisy's Eye-Revised Edition

Ok, I just thought I'd do a quick post. This is a picture my cousin took of Daisy's eye. It's so clear, that you can actually see the camera, and my cousin, and the cross ties, and the barn in Daisy's eye!!! It's one of my favorite pictures. I love it. Anyway, I'll post more pictures later.

Lot's of Stuff- Part One

My cousin Anika was here this week, like I said, and we gave Daisy a bath on Sunday. She wasn't that dirty, but we did it anyway. We tied her to a tree and bathed her with Johnsans baby bath. I think she liked it. She never seemed that dirty, but the soap was always brown when we rubbed. I rubbed her white socks and stockings and they were so white they were almost pink. We cleaned her mane and tail, and after we washed her we braided them, and put daisys in Daisy's mane. She looked really pretty. I will post pictures of it later. We did a lot with her this week, and my cousin Anika took a lot of pictures, so when I get some of them I might post some. Make sure to visit her page and leave comments. We slept in the barn for two nights and even saw her lie down to sleep. I will post the pictures Anika took of her sleeping when I get them. I will also post pictures of us where we slept on the hay. We added bales and got sleeping bags. In the morning Daisy woke us by rubbing her hind end on her milk jug toys and making noise. She knows when her breakfast is! Anyway, check back for more posts!

Miss Daisy Mae

Hi....These pictures are just random. The first one is of my cousin Anika and I. I look kind of dumb, but it's a cute picture. Anyway, Anika is here to visit from where she lives in CT. She used to have a horse named Dee (see her blog), but she had to sell her now. We are riding Daisy everyday, and Daisy's hoof is a lot better. The cut is still there, but she can be ridden again. She is getting A LOT of extra attention. The last pictures are just ones my mom caught of her coming out of her stall. They're pretty cute.
