Scattergories Game

I have a game for today! Wanda posted a Scattergories game, and I decided to do it, too. You have to answer the questions below using the first letter in your name. You can't repeat, so if you use your name in the first one, you can't re-use it. So, obviously, don't use your name. Lets play!:

What is your name...........................Mellimaus
4 Letter word....................................Mass(obviously I'm going to do math homework after this..)
Vehicle................................................motorboat...is that vehicle?
City......................................................Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Boy Name...........................................Martin
Girl Name...........................................Mandy
Alcoholic Drink...................................Martini
Occupation..........................................Math teacher
Something you wear..........................Muck boots (For the barn)
Celebrity..............................................Mary-Kate Olson (is that how you spell it?)
Food......................................................Mango
Something found in a bathroom........Mat
Reason for being late...........................Mad at the alarm clock, so I slept in
Cartoon Character...............................Mr. Krabs
Something you shout...........................Money! (????????)
Animal....................................................Monkey
Body part...............................................Mind...is that a body part? No.....
Word to describe you............................Magnificent (Just kidding)

My dog, Abby, also did this. We both put an Olson twin, so I'm going to tell you, I don't like them, they just happen to be celebrities with the perfect names. ;-)
Maybe you want to play!
Have a great few days!

Just Some Randomness

Well, this is gotta be quick.
Lately the kittens have been coming on our porch and looking through our windows at us, especially Gronemeyer, and it's adorable. They also LOVE the bird feeders, although they haven't caught any birds yet, they are fascinated with them. They are such great cats. We love them. We had a scare the other day because a fox came up to the barn and after we scared it away and went outside, we found the little boy cat gone. After praying and hoping we'd find him, we found Mr. Gronemeyer-in a tree. I begged him to come down and he obliged, happily, lol. So, they have been safe and sound at home since that happened, on Wednesday.
The last pictures of Daisy are just some random pictures I took. I realize that the last one of Daisy's nose and face isn't very good, it's too bright, but if you look at her eyes you'll see her 'treat face'. See how her eyebrows are raised, and she looks like she's begging? Well, she does that ALL the time while I'm cleaning the stall. A lot of times I give in, and she gets an apple treat. ;-)
Have a great few days, until the next post (don't bother checking all the time, it'll be a few days, I think).
Happy Birthday, by the way, to 'I love Jesus'! You're one of my best commenters-haha. :-) Thanks.

Daisy Yawns

This is just a funny little video of Daisy yawning. She always yawns while she waits for me to clean her stall, and I like to think of it as her way of saying "Hurry up, this is so borning, you're taking forever!"
I just thought you'd like to see it.
Thanks for all the comments on my last (wimpy) post! I'm feeling much better, thank goodness.

NMJC

Um...I'm sick, so this post will be short.
I don't know what to post, so I just thought I'd post this picture I found on my mom's laptop last night.
Have a good day!

A Virtual Trail Ride

This is a video I took yesterday while I was riding Miss Daisy. Today the weather is very cold-only around 10 degrees, and tonight it's only 7 degrees, with wind chills in the negatives! (My mother is reading the temperature from where we live, and that of Florida. Oh, what a teaser! She wants to move to Florida.) I went riding with Daisy today, but it was crazy! It was cold and windy, and she was REALLY hyper. We only went half way down the driveway-pretty much nothing. When we were coming back she was so excited (or scared from the wind) that she started...well, I don't know what she was doing! She was doing a half canter, half galloping, side pass. It was strange. She was crazy! I went in again then-I wasn't really worried about her behavior, but it could have been dangerous, I suppose. So, that's it for today. I just cleaned the stall in the cold.

Für alle meine deutschen Freunde

Das ist ein Film von meinem Pferd, Daisy. Viel Spass beim anschauen!

A video for my friends and family in German-I know I didn't hold the camera still, I hope you don't get motion sickness!
Remember, I have a little post below, too!

7 Interesting Facts

I was tagged by Allen to write 7 facts about me. I'm not that interesting, but okay, here it is:
  1. I was born here in America, but my 2 brothers and my parents were all born in Germany, so I speak fluent German
  2. I love to sing, especially in the barn (lol) were no one hears me(always slightly embarressing when someone comes up behind me suddenly, and I don't know they're there, and I'm singing)
  3. I'm taking French in school, and I really like it. My favorite subjects are French, Social Studies, and Orchastra...and English
  4. My favorite christian band is "Delirious?"
  5. I have (if I counted right) 12 cousins on my mom's side, and 2 on my dad's side
  6. I've been playing the violin since 3rd grade, and I was recently selected for All County Orchastra
  7. When I was little, and my mom would take me to Wegmans, I called it "cookie" because I knew you could get free cookies there. :-)
I'll tag, um....hmmm, Misha, ummmm.....I think everyone I know has been tagged. Oh, my penpal, Alli (if you're still blogging) and that's it. If you haven't been tagged, just pretend I tagged you, and post. ;-)

I will post another post soon-a video, in German. (the picture is of Daisy and I on Wednesday, or Thursday)

Check it out!

Hello, I just wanted to say, if you have the time, maybe you'd like to check out my dog, Abby's, blog! She'd LOVE some comments (belive me). Her blog is at http://abbydogdays.blogspot.com
Have a good rest of the day!

I didn't Order a Beaver!

Do you see these trees?!? I honestly thought the first time I saw a tree so bare of wood that it was from a wild animal! But no, it's my horse. Apparently, she's so bored during the day that, to try to find something to do, she chews trees! Do you see how bare these trees are of their bark?! I know other people who have horses have this problem, too, and those horse's have companions, so it's not because of being lonesome. But she's killing all the trees! I was wondering what I could do to help her; get her a toy in her stall, a ball in her paddock, etc. Well, while reading a book called Horse Miracles, I found a story about a horse that had been cribbing, wood chewing, and weaving for years. Cribbing is when a horse puts it's open mouth on wood, or plastic, or metal, and makes a coughing sound, because it's trying to breathe in the dust of the material. It's bad for them. Wood chewing is plain wood chewing, what Daisy is doing, and weaving is when a horse is so bored in it's stall that they swing their head back and forth, and this is bad for them (I can't remember how, though, lol). This horse that did these things had a stable mirror put in it's stall, an acrylic mirror, and within a month it stopped doing all these things because it was so occupied with looking at it's mirror image! So, I googled stable mirrors, and I came up with this site: www.stable-mirrors.co.uk.
I really like the way the site looks, and the idea of the stable mirror. Though they don't seem to ship to the US, I'm going to see if I can find an acrylic mirror some where that I can put in Daisy's stall-maybe it'll help! Sorry this post was so long, but I found this subject interesting. Have a great weekend!
