Very nice documentary, Meliss'!! I can't wait for the chickens to be able to be outside more. They are really such good chickens, and you do a great job taking care of them! Thank you, Melissa!
Hey Melissa, I really enjoyed your show. That was very interesting for me. Your parents' property has changed into a farm lately. That's very cool. When I was a girl I always dreamed of having a farm like that. And that you take care of all the animals says a lot about you. You are very responsible.Hopefully it gets warmer soon so that you can ride Daisy more again. :o)
Heyy! Aww! They're so cute! I remember when we named Redhead and Powerpuff girl! haha. The other 2 without names, we named the names of 2 of the powerpuff girls on tv. If that makes sense...
Man, they make a lot of noise! Golly Gee! haha. im so weird. Well, have fun! Hopefully it'll get warmer soon!
This post was so fun!! I've not been on my computer much this weekend and this was a wonderful surprise! I felt like you were taking me personally for a tour of your hen house! Thank you so much for posting this. My husband came and sat down with me when I started watching because I was giggling - you should have seen the horrified look on his face when he heard how loud your girls are! :-) :-) ha ha ha - He's still a bit freaked by this whole chicken-thing and not knowing entirely what to expect! :-) But I know he will come to love them as much as I do...(right?!) I like how you have set up their perches. You're fun, Melissa!! Thanks again :-)
Hello, Twinville! Thanks for stopping by! We read on the web. when we got the chickens that their coop only has to be cleaned twice a year or so, so I don't have to clean it. They're really my dad's chickens, so he does that...I just feed them and give them water at night. We do put shavings in when we clean the coop, but...well, lets say that the chickens 'cover it up'...
Hey, Mike! Thanks for coming! Haha, I found Gronemeyer with an egg today, in the barn, and I yelled at him, but then I realized he got it from the compost!...haha, I was really worried he got a chicken, too. ;-)
wow! Great video of your chickens - they are soo cute! I know they are a lot of work to keep up and keep the pin clean - looks liek you do a great job - Maybe that great Powder Puff Chicken can keep an egg warm til she gets a baby :) Thanks for sharing your super hen house! :)

Interesting. you should get some sheep
That was most interesting and I think someday I will see documentary on TV that have your name attached to them.
I love you chickens, and all their clever names --even some are redheads like me ~~ ((pluck, pluck))

Don't they freeze their little feet??
Hey, that comment above mine is spam and a virus. YOu may have to add word verification or they will keep spamming you.
What a fun tour of the house and coop, Mell!
I always enjoy stopping in for a visit and looking at all of your videos and photos.
Well done!
So, do you clean the coop, too, in addition to the horse barn?
I'm impressed if you do. What a hard worker you are.
I noticed that there wasn't any bedding or straw inside. Do you not use it, and if not does it make your cleaning more difficult or easier?
Thanks again for the tour!
I liked this video. I thought it was funny that the cat happened to walk by as you were filming this video.
