Mother's Day Walk

Happy Mother's Day, for those of you who didn't see my post below!

Today, in honor of Mother's day, we went all together (Mom, Dad, my brother Mike, our dog Abby, and me riding Daisy) for a walk in the woods....that's what the second and third pictures are of. My dad hunts deer in the fall and he went in his stand in the tree and took them, my mom, Gudl, took the rest. The first photo is of Daisy and I on a hill by our driveway....My face is a little blurry, but do you see Daisy well...see her ribs? Lately she's been thinner then usual, so we bought her mineral and vitamin pellets from Manna Pro company (click here to see what we bought) that I mix into her food now. We also feed her more, and I dewormed her last Monday, in case she had/has worms. She's a lot thinner then she normally is...hopefully she'll pick up her weight soon---I'm sure she will. Last week, when I dewormed her, I saved the tube and today I filled it with applesauce and gave it to her. She seemed to like it (a lot more then real dewormer!). Apparently if I do that a lot, she'll be easier to deworm when I really do it because she'll think it's a treat.

The last pictures are of the cats--they seem to just love our lawn chair mattress! (so do I!) I have to lock them in a cage when I go riding now because they {are so loyal and} follow me down the driveway and then don't come home...or, she comes home and mopes around because he's gone. Normally I wouldn't mind that he's gone, but I feel bad because she doesn't seem to know what to do with herself, so I walk down the driveway, call him, find him, and carry him home....

Anyway, hope I don't bore you guys! Have a wonderful week!

P.S....because of blogger's new 'scheduled post' thing I won't change the time on my posts to what it really is, because for some reason it won't post after that.....just saying this so you know my times aren't right. Right now it's 6:40 PM. :D

GGRRRRR. I just wrote a whole comment and it got deleted. grrrr. Okay well:

woah! LOVE the background! wayy cool. Oh yeah, she she did lose weight, hopefully she'll fatten up soon! I think it's depressing how the cats used to be tiny little kittens that fit in my blue jacket together. *tear* *sniffle* How'd you get the background? Well, I'll be back to check!

well, now when I look at it, I think the pink behind the words is a little much, maybe yellow would be better....but its still cool.

Pyzam.com...there's a link at the top of the page. The only thing is, if you have any boxes at the side of the page or at the bottom, you have to totally redo them, they get deleted. I copied and pasted my old layout into word, in case anything went wrong, and I copied all the boxes and stuff...I still haven't made a link list, b/c you can't copy that...

The color comes automatically...I mean, the pink....I'll just remember to use a lighter color on the next post. I really like it, though, daisies and it's colorful...they don't have any really good horse ones, so...but there's a ton of layouts.

Your new blog layout is so colorful and fresh! I like it, but it's too bad there are no horse-themed layouts. That would be even better.

And the photos are wonderful!
I'm envious that you just hop up on Daisy bareback. My horse is so BIG that I get too nervous to do that now unless my instructor is with me.
I'm such a fraidy cat.
Can you send me some of your youthful courage?

Hehe, hey Twinville!

They do actually have horse-themed layouts, but none that are really good... most of them the horse is slightly covered, so it looks strange...

You know, I prefer bareback over saddle anyday...the only drawback is that when the horse sweats, you get it on you! But it's really good for balance and it's just sooooooo comfortable... :D

Awsomeful!
I wish I could jump on my guy, Carlo bareback... but at our barn everyone ish so worried 'bout saftey that I'd get murdered if I tried that.

Hope ya get Daisy's weight up soon.
When we need to do that, like for the older horse at the barn, Desi, during the winter, we mix their grain with corn oil. That really helps. A cup or two a meal usually works for us.

I feel like the pictures of us look like something out of a catalog.
