Well, here are the promised pictures from the post below this one! The white appaloosa is Shania-she's pretty cool ;-), with Stephanie riding. And, of course, Daisy and I... I think Daisy really enjoyed being with another horse for a change...Even if she did pin her ears whenever Shania came over! :D....she was also exhausted when we got back! I normally ride her 40 to 50 min. a day, and we rode about an hour and a half! But it was fun...just wanted to share the pics! Have a wonderful week everyone, and think of us if it's warm near you because here it's only 50 degrees! :D

cool. I like the background.
Shania and Daisy are sooo pretty!!! Thx for the comment on my blog! I haven't ever read any Trixie Belden books, but I'll be sure to pick some up next time I go to the library :) :D
Shania's super pretty!
Hi Mell,
I'm so glad that you had such a nice time riding with Stephanie and Shania. Does your friend live close enough to just ride over, or does she have to trailer Shania over to your place?
I love having my neighbor next door to ride with and am so grateful to have someone so close by as a riding buddy.
By the way, I wanted to ask you what kind of bit (or not) that you use?
I just ordered the Bitless Bridle and am so excited for it to arrive so I can try it out.
Oh and hey! I can't send you any warm thougts. It snowed here in NM yesterday and it's a chilly 40 degrees tonight! Brrr!
SNOWED?!?!? Crazy!
I use a snaffle bit...although if I get enough money, I'd LOVE to get a hackamore or a bitless bridle. I've ridden Daisy with just a halter and leadrope before and she did pretty well, so I think she'd really benefit from a bitless.
Shania is close enough so that we don't have to trailer! They're just one street over. :-)
Shania's really pretty! And of course, so is Daisy!!
Oh my...Shania is gorgeous!! How fun that you had someone to go riding with. And, we have something in common...it's only 50-ish degrees here, too, at the moment. Brrrr!!! Bring on the warmer weather...
Great pics, Mellimaus! :-)
Thanks Mell, for letting me know about the bit. My neighbor lets me use her snaffle bit and saddle, until I finally get my own horse gear. Baby Doll does ok, but she's so sensitive and responsive that I don't think she always needs a snaffle.
When I was taking lessons on her I only used a hackamore and she did great.
I'm looking forward to seeing how she does with the Dr. Cook's Bitless Bridle that I ordered. Yes, it was very pricey, but hopefully it will work and I won't need to buy anything else. haha
Thanks again.
Like the new bright blog! I haven't been by in a while. I like Shania, she has very colorful and fun markings! I bet Daisy enjoyed going on a ride with a friend, even if she got a little tired. We were out for 3 hours on our horses today! We just walk them, but it was warm and they were pretty pooped. They got back, were hosed, and promptly rolled, of course! ;)
Beautiful photographs.
